A APPC - Associação Portuguesa de Pesca à Carpa, a primeira Associação a ter sido constituida em Portugal dedicada a esta causa, é o resultado da união de um conjunto de Carpistas empenhados em lutar pela divulgação e melhoria das condições para a prática, em Portugal, desta apaixonante modalidade de pesca sem morte.
Para tal, contamos com o apoio de todos os Carpistas para, a uma só voz, lutar pela difícil tarefa que será a obtenção da legalização da Pesca à Carpa nocturna em águas nacionais.
Decorreram nas nossas águas 4 dos 8 Campeonatos do Mundo de Pesca à Carpa já disputados e, para tal, foi necessária uma intervenção especial do Governo para a emissão de autorizações.
Temos uma Selecção Nacional de topo, tendo sido Campeões Mundiais da modalidade em 2006, sendo que, legalmente, os nossos atletas não podem treinar, o que, no mínimo, não faz sentido.
Mais, toda uma economia ligada
ao Turismo pode ser desenvolvida, especialmente em zonas do país que tanto necessitam.
Sendo uma constante das políticas de todos os nossos governos a vontade em fomentar actividades de desporto, lazer, convívio e contacto com a natureza, na Pesca à Carpa, estas componentes estão todas bem presentes.
